Peel away my skin,
Reveal an endless war,
An infinite struggle churning back and forth,
From the inside watch myself break,
Out of stone eyes I stare,

Thoughts scatter watch them ricochet,
Out the window see my children play,
Lost forever salvaged from the lake,
From this deed I can't return,

Will they ever find a reason for this tragedy?
Will their hearts grow cold while I'm remembered in melody?
